Wellington High School to send 150 students to Kennedy Space Center

Wellington High School is sending 150 students to tour the Kennedy Space Center Wednesday.

Each of the students that go will be able to meet with a NASA astronaut, tour the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and participate in simulation exercises and an “egg-stronaut” drop competition, said Angie Francalancia of The Connection Public Relations.

The trip, which has been happening annually for four years, is underwritten by the Jacobs Family Foundation.

It’s designed for the students taking the most difficult science, technology, engineering and math courses.

Students from Palm Beach Central will take the trip in April, Francalancia said.
