Wellington taking extra mosquito precautions in light of Zika virus

With Zika virus cases now making their way to Miami, Wellington is taking some extra precautions.

The village has added another mosquito fogging truck every day, upped the fogging schedule from five days a week to seven, placed larvicide in standing water and are treating athletic fields.

Wellington officials have also reached out to HOAs about treating standing water and the Palm Beach County School district about treating athletic fields.
