Don’t expect decisions to be made on an investment firm’s unsolicited offer to buy a portion of K-Park any time soon.
Jefferson Apartment Group offered $12.4 million for 23 acres of the property along State Road 7. The council could accept the offer, negotiate, deny it or wait.
Village Manager Paul Schofield wrote in his weekly report he recommends that the council doesn’t take any action on the offer at this time.
Village staff will ask the council for more direction after the budget process — maybe October or November.
Taking extra time on decisions allows for more public input and lets the village see how other projects in the area shake out.
