Wellington to host 9/11 remembrance ceremony

Fifteen years after the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center, Wellington will host another remembrance ceremony Sunday.

The annual event will start at 5 p.m. at the Patriot Memorial, a monument next to Village Hall that includes in eternal flame and one of the largest steel beams salvaged from either building. The village dedicated the memorial five years ago.

The ceremony will include council remarks and wreaths will be laid to pay tribute to the victims.
