Wellington to vote on next year’s full budget for the first time

The Wellington Village Council is expected to pass it’s full budget tonight.

This will be the first of two votes required to pass the nearly $90 million budget that will not have a tax rate increase. The council set the maximum tax rate earlier this year.

The budget includes 13 more employees than last year. The increase in employees will, in part, facilitate a proposed switch back to a Monday-to-Friday work week.
