Polo for a Purpose to raise money for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Fourth Annual Polo for a Purpose event is set for Monday Jan. 16 at the International Polo Club. The annual event raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Polo professional and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor Brandon Phillips was instrumental in starting the event when he decided it was time to give back to other children who are fighting cancer.

The event raised more than $60,000 in its first year, more than $250,000 in its second and more than $365,000 in its third. The day will end with a concert by Gipsy Sound Revolution.

Single-seat tickets cost $40 or spectators can purchase a tent for up to 10 people for $400.
