JustWorld Gala raises 430k for children in impoverished countries

The 14th annual JustWorld Gala in Wellington was a rousing success this year, raising more than $430,000 earlier this month to fund its programs that help 6,500 children.

JustWorld International has ambassadors in more than 40 countries and it specifically focuses on Cambodia, Guatemala and Honduras.

The money goes toward helping children in impoverished countries improve their lives through education, nutrition, health and hygiene and cultural development.

JustWorld International is based in Wellington and holds its gala in the village each year. Last year’s event raised about $450,000.
