Wellington honors 72 ‘high impact’ teachers

Wellington took time at its Education Committee meeting Tuesday to honor some of its “high impact teachers.”

The Florida Department of Education gave that designation to 750 teachers across Palm Beach County — including 72 in Wellington’s 11 public schools — “for their contributions to students’ growth in their classrooms,” according to a news release.

The honor is based on analysis of student performance on statewide standardized tests.
