Acreage Library to host solar eclipse party

If you’re looking for some solar eclipse fun in the western communities Monday, the Acreage Library may be your best bet.

The library, at 15801 Orange Blvd, Loxahatchee, will be hosting a party for families and people of all ages that includes “hot solar crafts and cool experiments.”

The party starts at 2 p.m., and the peak viewing time for the eclipse is just before 3 p.m.

It’s the first time in 99 years that a total solar eclipse will go coast to coast in the United States. In South Florida, about 80 percent of the sun will be covered by the moon.

You can check out some FAQ about the eclipse here.
